professionals from diverse backgrounds including chartered accountants and software engineers. A highly skilled work
force supports them. IRIS today has strength of 300 employees out of which a significant percentage is dedicated to the
XBRL domain and technology. Here are some of the key members of our team.

K Balachandran, a co-founder of IRIS, heads the information and research delivery operations at IRIS. He also spearheads
the XBRL initiative at IRIS and is the director on XBRL India. Prior to founding IRIS, he was with CRISIL as group leader
and senior analyst. He has also worked for a short stint in his initial career with Tata Economic Consultancy Services as
a business economist. He holds a graduate degree in chemical engineering and an MBA from Indian Institute of Management,
Bangalore. He led several company and industry research assignments at IRIS and played a crucial role in building the
research delivery capabilities of IRIS. Balachandran is also the CFO of the firm.

Deepta Rangarajan, co-founder & Vice President, International Business, has 16+ years of experience in operations, previously
worked at American Express Bank and headed CRISIL’s operations in North India (CRISIL is a subsidiary of Standard and Poor’s).
She is a Chemical Engineer from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management,
Ahmedabad. Deepta plays a key role in the conceptualization and design of almost all of IRIS' information products and services.

S Swaminathan is the Chief Executive and Founder of IRIS. An economist trained at Yale University, USA, he served
briefly as a Consultant to the World Bank in Washington DC before returning to India to first co-found a software company.
He then went on to pursue a career in the media, serving in senior positions with India's leading financial daily, The Economic
Times and later with the country's leading magazine, Business India. He founded IRIS in 1994. Apart from his passion for information,
Swami is also passionate about cricket, and was closely involved in organizing the World Cup cricket tournaments before founding IRIS.
Swami is also the Chairman of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s New Bombay chapter.
